“Árvore Estranha” é a história da própria compositora, que assina maioria das letras. A experiência de sua mudança para São Paulo, onde viveu por dois anos, é um dos fios condutores do trabalho. Suas relações sociais e afetivas são os principais temas das canções, que possuem uma aura íntima.

Mais madura, a cantora apresenta influências do krautrock e do post-punk, passando pelo indie e trip-hop, numa sonoridade que dialoga com relevantes nomes do pop alternativo atual, como Fishbach, Fiona Apple, The Dø e Charlotte Gainsbourg. Tudo isso sem esquecer as raízes nordestinas.

“Árvore Estranha” is the history of Sandyalê herself, who signs most of the lyrics. Her move from Aracaju to São Paulo, where she lived for two years, is one of the central concepts of the album. Her social and affective relations are the main themes of the songs, which also have an intimate aura.

More mature, the singer and songwriter shows influences of krautrock and post-punk, passing by indie and trip-hop, in a sound that dialogues with relevant bands of alt-pop nowadays, like Fishbach, Fiona Apple, The Dø and Charlotte Gainsbourg. All of this without forgetting her northeastern roots.
